Dane Hamlett is a seasoned business professional with over a decade of deep data & analytics experience.  Dane has a true passion for all things data, and has developed and sold a wide array of analytics tools, leveraging data from both structured and unstructured sources.  He has also collaborated with a diverse set of companies, ranging from those in the Fortune 500 to high growth startups. 

Dane was a co-founder of BuildRock, Inc., a profitable business analytics startup in San Francisco, that was later successfully acquired by Actus Data, in 2015.  While at Actus Data, Dane served as the Head of Product and Data Operations, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development (supporting a robust web-based analytics platform), fulfilling ad hoc consulting and professional services needs for existing customers (data architecture & warehousing, dashboard creation, and predictive modeling), and POC development to support sales and marketing efforts.

Prior to Dane's experience with BuildRock and Actus Data, he spent 7 years working for ServiceSource International, working his way up from a data analyst for one of the companies most valued clients, to a senior leadership role managing data and analytics standards for the Sales Operations division.  In that role, he was able to develop and implement the company's first standardized analytics platform, leveraging a cohesive Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and a centralized In-Memory Tabular data cube.  He was instrumental in defining global standards for internal data management practices, and lead several analytics workshops for technical resources, spanning 5 countries, 7 offices, and 200+ employees.

Dane is a California native, and holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
